Veteran-Centered Philosophy

The Veteran-Centered Philosophy of HMR Veterans Services, Inc. is what makes our approach unique. With activities and approaches that cater to the specific needs of our veterans, we are able to achieve greater levels of satisfaction and more positive outcomes for those that we serve.

 

Programs for Pride

Continually recognizing and honoring the veterans of our country for their service is our primary goal at HMR Veterans Services, Inc. Memorial Day and Veterans Day are two significant events that are heralded in every facility that we serve! Every year, we are able to host amazing events within each HMR Veterans Services, Inc. managed facility that provide the state and local community an opportunity to share, along with us, their appreciation for the service of our veterans and to recognize the fallen.

 

Every year, a plaque is dedicated in each facility that honors those veterans we served. Family members are invited to stand and be recognized as the veteran’s name is called. The playing of TAPS concludes the Memorial Day event and allows time for us to share in the memories and appreciation of the moment.

 

Veterans Day in each facility provides an opportunity to join the past with the present. Each facility works hard to create a program that brings currently enlisted soldiers in to share in the day with the veterans from WWII, Vietnam, Korea, Desert Storm, OIF, and the peacetime veterans as well.

 

It is our ultimate goal that their service be remembered and respected by our team and by the community and that we provide opportunities to the Veteran Service Organizations and other volunteer groups to join us in our mission.

 

Every day is Veterans Day in the State Veterans Homes!
